New Moon Solar Eclipse 9° Aries March 29, 2025

The New Moon and partial Solar Eclipse occurs at 9° Aries on Saturday March 29, 2025 at 6:57am in New York, USA. It is the Super New Moon because it is at its closest to Earth. New Moons are about initiation, beginnings and the new cycle of the moon. It is the time to start projects and plan your trajectory towards your goal. Plant now the seeds of future successes. New moons are more emotionally balanced than full moons and last for the two weeks preceding the full moon. However, the partial Solar Eclipse gives this New Moon more power and affects what will manifest over the next six months. It is a partial solar eclipse which does turn it down a notch. A Solar Eclipse opens a time to shed the old and unfurl the new. Over these next six months use this energy to make room for and encourage new growth. There are no exact aspects to this New Moon but there is plenty going on to mention. One of the most significant long term aspects this year is Saturn sextile Uranus. There’s also a stellium with the planets retrograde Venus, Neptune and retrograde Mercury. It’s kind of like having three personalities in the same small elevator that want to go to their floor only. Will they agree on a plan or will they battle it out?

POWER UP, IDLE DOWN

Saturn represents tradition, established rules and stability also, long term growth which is based on planning and dedicated work. It rules infrastructure, the bare bones of a building plan from industrial to societal. Uranus rules innovation, technology, scientific breakthroughs as well as alternative methods. On a human level Uranus, the only planet that spins on its side, represents and upholds the value of diversity which upgrades society, bringing attention to what is old and outmoded. It creates a new and vital paradigm that is inclusive, free and unique and captures a universal appeal. This starts at a community level. Uranus rules groups we want belong to or feel we are a part of. Uranus is the planet of rebellion and liberation. This will bring individuals together to solidify common ideals and goals. This is the “rise” the “rising up”. It may take upsets to those in power and the “plugging in” and “powering up” of the people to do it. On a personal level, this is a great time to break free of bad habits and for better, healthier routines and structures.

Now let’s take a look in that elevator. Venus wants to charm the others and stick to what is courteous and fair. Mercury wants clear communication and the truth but can disregard other’s feelings. Neptune wants to get along and consider everyone’s feelings and beliefs but may make concessions just to keep the peace and then feel unvalued. Remember, Venus and Mercury both are in retrograde bringing confusion, disagreements and delays. Issues of truth, lies, privilege, insecurities and overwhelming feelings will be squeezed in there with them. Will they get to their floors? Will the elevator get stuck because they all are pushing buttons simultaneously? Or will they decide to put their differences aside and end up taking a ride up to the roof for a better view and a sweet soirée?
