The Full Moon occurs at 23°52’ Gemini on Sunday December 15, 2024 at 4:01am in New York, USA. It is the Cold Moon. The aspect is a minor one, a semi-sextile to Uranus. The Sun will be in an itchy quincunx erratic but inventive Uranus. This is the strongest aspect. Also happening is Mercury trine Mars and Jupiter square Saturn. This combination can bring nervousness and irritability as well as excitement and brilliance. A strong sense of independence is prominent. A desire to be free of the usual constraints and experience something new and exciting and to be your original self is needed and should not be repressed. A Full Moon happens when the Moon is 180° away from the Sun, exactly opposite. It is the time to present completed projects to the public and receive feedback. During the full Moon cycle we have to balance home and family with career, what we want with what we have internally and externally. So, let’s use our intuitive instincts to inspire action in our projects, plans and dreams.

Acceleration and Anticipation

The semi-sextile of the intuitive Full Moon and the psychic antenna of Uranus leaves an open channel for creative ideas and invention. Moon/Uranus connections can bring new, interesting people into the mix and mingle. Uranus requires an open mind to be at its best. Flexibility and chance can come together in surprising and freeing ways. Everything happens for a reason and in this case, especially the unexpected. Now for the itchy part, the quincunx of the Sun and Uranus… This aspect has the challenge of getting these two energies to work together in harmony. It can bring out the “don’t fence me in” fear factor. The desire for new and original expression of the true self is wrestling with the nervousness and uncertainty of how to achieve that and will it be accepted. The more ridged and inflexible you are at letting go of old paradigms, the more difficult this will be. Sometimes Uranus will have to throw a monkey wrench into the gears to bring everything to a grinding halt to make you recognize the needed change and liberation in your life. It is best to heed the subtle and obvious clues and welcome change that is needed and face the unknown. The Jupiter square to Saturn will highlight socioeconomic challenges and worldly issues related to justice, conservativism, morals, lies and righteousness and the polarity of opinions surrounding them. Fortunately there’s a harmonious trine of Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, to confident and inspired Mars. A good walk, jog or cycle around town can work off the tension and welcome conversation, sharing and good cheer along the way. Maybe a drive to see the holiday decorations and lights in your neighborhood will invoke the holiday spirit. This is a confident and outgoing energy. Step out of your usual comfort zone and allow for diversions and fun. It’s ok to break tradition. You may see through sharing ideas and goals that you’re not alone and we are all in this together.
